Drax - Its A Movement Mixtape (Supported By BBC Introducing) Available For Free On Eidola Audio From August 2015.
Review by (Barnard, J. 2015)
West Midlands MC Drax is back with his latest mix-tape, “It’s a Movement”. Produced by Peterborough DJ and long term collaborator, Ghosty, It’s a Movement pulls us along on a musical journey from straight Hip-Hop through Grime and into something new. Drax and Ghosty are producing a new brand of music that draws from anything and everything.
It’s a Movement includes features from artists such as Veezy and Reeality as well as Rosie Imogen and Hannah Gray, which add a more modern vibe to the old school sounds of the record. Ghosty’s production is on point; the beats and melodies on tracks such as “Like This, ft Veezy” and “On to Something New, ft Veezy and Reeality”, assault your ears with dirty guitar riffs and techno-esque keys that sit underneath the gritty bars laid down by Drax and friends.
